Marlon and Carlos — two collectors selling cards out of Northwest Arkansas. Friends since high school, in and out of this hobby since the 90s.
Sports cards pulled us back in first, and for a couple of years that was the whole thing. Then we opened Pokémon packs for the first time in twenty years, sitting at the table while our kids opened theirs. Same sets we chased at their age. It took about ten minutes to be all the way back in.
Pokebeans came out of that. Sports cards are still on the table at shows, but Pokémon is where most of our time goes now, and most of our money, which our wives have noticed.
Every card gets front and back images, and every flaw we find goes in the description. When we're not sure about something, we say so.
We write listings the way we'd want to read them, which is easy to remember because most weeks we're the ones reading them. Front and back images at resolution you can actually zoom into. Every flaw we find in the description: the soft corner, the whitening along an edge, the scratch you only catch when you tilt it under a lamp.
We're conditioning cards, not grading them. Grading is what PSA and CGC do, in a sealed case with a number on it. Conditioning is us looking at a raw card and telling you plainly what shape it's in, so the card in the envelope is the card you pictured.
If a card isn't right for you, we'd rather hear it before it ships than after.
Everything we sell passes through the same hands that keep a personal collection. There are cards in ours that are never going in the Display Case, and if you ask at a show we'll happily show you every one of them and sell you none.
Plenty of people stop at the table just to talk sets and chase cards. That's the better half of the job.
